The Githunguri assembly hopes Gathoni Wamuchomba removes Kiambu County gubernatorial candidate Musa Kuria and his brigade from their political gathering.
Wamuchomba took a big step when Kuria and his allies made an uninvited appearance on Friday afternoon, July 29.
He accused her of planning to disrupt the show and asked him to leave, setting the stage for more confrontations with Kuria.
An angry Kiambu Women Representative said that Kuria and her Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) are always out to disrupt meetings and influence voters.
“Today is my day and it’s Wamuchomba’s case,” said Kuria, who had barely sat down when Wamuchomba pointed out.
The incumbent Gatundu South MP wants to leave the ground and join the roadside after the Wamuchomba march ends.
He later said he was harassed by Wamuchomba and the UDA party at the rally.
“Gathoni wa Muchomba and UDA, I forgive you for expelling me from Kwanza Church Kenya. For information, we will win the Presidential Election, but not yet,” he said.
The Chama Cha Kazi party leader has clashed with some UDA politicians who are said to want to block his governorship bid. He accused the party led by Deputy President William Ruto of playing compromise politics in Kenya’s Kwanzaa coalition.
